Training Division

The Training Division is another busy area of North Lincoln Fire & Rescue.  Led by Division Chief Michael Ryan,  manages the day-to-day training activities of NLF&R.

The NLF&R Training Division  provides ongoing training programs in both firefighting and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for all personnel.  This is accomplished through a variety of opportunities, from training in station and on the drill field.

On the fire side, the division hosts company officers training,  schedules Single Company and Multi-Company Drills, and works with individuals and crews to sharpen skills needed in the field.

On the EMS side, each month a different topic from the Department Medical Protocols is discussed and reviewed..  Every quarter the Medical Director meets with the paramedics and there is a monthly Quality Assurance report generated to maintain the highest level of care.  In addition, our Field Training Officers visit each station on a monthly basis to provide hands-on training for our EMTs and paramedics in skill check offs ranging from packaging patients with severe trauma to delivering babies to restarting a patient's heart from cardiac arrest.
