NORTH LINCOLN FIRE & RESCUEWATER RESCUE TEAM Who We AreThe North Lincoln Fire & Rescue, Water Rescue Team is an all-volunteer team. The team is made up of about 20 individuals from all walks of life. These members are highly dedicated people. Not only do they train as Firefighters one night a week, they take the extra time to train as Surface/Swift Water Rescue Technicians. With an average of about 144 hours of fire training and 100 hours of Water Rescue training per year, on top of their normal jobs and families, these members are dedicated to one end result, Public Safety. What We DoWe respond to all water related emergencies to include Swift Water rescue, Surf rescue and all water related boat and vehicle accidents. We cover approximately 60 square miles in north Lincoln County that includes Pacific Ocean, Siletz Bay, Devils Lake, the Salmon and Siletz Rivers as well as Drift, Schooner and Bear Creeks. We work very close with the United States Coast Guard, who are activated to about 90% of our water rescues. We work with State Parks and the local surfers to help educate the public on Beach Safety.
